Nick Young, a former U.S. Army team leader and current firefighter, has been dedicated to martial arts since the age of 13. Starting out as a boxer, Nick was introduced to the art of Muay Thai in 2014, where he quickly excelled under the guidance of Alexander Banks. In addition to his Muay Thai training, Nick trained in Army Combatives from 2017-2018 and even started a Muay Thai program while stationed at Fort Hood, Texas.
Nick has competed as an amateur fighter across Boxing, Kickboxing, and Muay Thai, achieving an impressive amateur record of 5-1. Notably, he won the 2017 World Kickboxing Association (WKA) Championship in New Jersey and has competed in both the International Kickboxing Federation (IKF) and WKA circuits.
As a former Muay Thai instructor at United Muay Thai, Nick has successfully run multiple fight camps, producing numerous wins and championships for his students. In 2021, Nick brought his wealth of experience to Apex Martial Arts Center and Open Guard, where he now teaches Advanced Muay Thai, helping students sharpen their skills and prepare for competition at the highest level.
