Black Belt

Coach Jeff Piercy is our lead Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor.  Jeff earned his black belt under Professors Roberto Maia and Geoff Balme.  He now trains under 3rd degree BJJ Black Belt, Dave Rosenmarkle.

Jeff's BJJ credentials include competition wins at the 2020 US Grappling Raleigh Black Belt 175lb weight class, the 2018 Toro Cup Super Fight win (brown belt gi), three submission victories at Projitsu events in 2015 and 2016, as well as multiple Gold medals at NAGA, Grapplers Quest, and US Grappling events.

Jeff has been teaching Gi and No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu for the past 12 years.  He is an accomplished amateur MMA fighter with all wins via submission, as well as being a successful wrestler early in his career.

In addition to his distinguished martial arts background, Jeff Piercy is a well-respected and widely sought after certified personal trainer (National Personal Training Institute) and offers a level of conditioning for all of his athletes and clients that is unparalleled.  Two nationally qualified figure competitors entrust their competition-level physiques to Jeff's knowledge of physical and mental training and conditioning.  Jeff also works with sports-specific strength and conditioning for numerous athletes from kids to weekend warriors.
