Open Guard BJJ Participating in S.W.E.E.P.

Open Guard BJJ is proud to be participating in the Support Women’s Empowerment Education and Protection program (S.W.E.E.P).

Open Guard BJJ, along with several other martial arts schools in the area, is providing a self-defense scholarship to women in the RTP area that are currently in domestically violent or abusive situations and are in fear of their (and their family’s) safety. Most of these women cannot afford to learn to defend themselves to get out of a bad situation.

If you know of a women in need of assistance, please have her contact Interact Center of Wake County, the Compass Center for Women and Families, or the Durham Rescue Mission Center for Hope.

If you are a martial arts school in the RTP area and want to extend a scholarship, please email us and we will put you in touch with the program coordinator.
